Welcome to the fun and exciting world of Slomo exercising! These small, lightweight, easy to use, colorful balls make a perfect addition to any fitness program. They are simple to learn and fun to use! Add variety to your workout with these low cost balls. Slomo balls come in an assortment of colors. They are versatile, lightweight, and economical!

CARE AND SAFETY GUIDELINES

The Slomo ball can cause injury when not used properly.

Before beginning this or any other exercise program, it is important to consult your physician and/or physical therapist.

The Slomo ball is not a toy. Adult supervision is required at all times when children are exercising with the Slomo ball.

Before each use, examine the Slomo ball for small tears or punctures that may cause it to break. If you find flaws upon examination, discard the product and replace it with a new Slomo ball before performing any exercises.

Store the ball at room temperature. Do not store the Slomo ball in direct sunlight or expose it to high temperatures.

Protect the Slomo ball by keeping it away from sharp objects. Be sure the floor is free of debris or objects that could puncture the ball. Remove rings before exercising. Beware of sharp fingernails.

The Slam ball contains small parts. Keep small parts out of the reach of children. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE!

To clean the Slomo ball, use a cloth and warm soapy water. Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaners. After cleaning, wipe again with a clean, damp cloth and wipe again with a dry cloth.

The Slomo ball will support up to 180 lbs . of pressure.

The suggested diameter of the Slomo ball is 7.5" to 10". Do not over inflate.

GETTING STARTED

Your Slomo ball will come with a small straw-type blowing tube. Simply insert the tube slightly into the ball and blow into the tube until the ball is inflated. Place the plug into the hole and you are ready to begin working out with your Slomo ball!

It is important to warm up and stretch before any exercise. Perform large muscle group motion, (walking, marching, etc.) for 3 to 5 minutes to elevate the core temperature of the body and prepare your muscles for exercise.

USES FOR THE SLOMO BALL

AEROBICS

The Slomo ball can be added to your aerobic routines. The colorful addition of these balls helps to encourage full body lengthening movements that create maximum benefits to your aerobic workout. Add them to your step workout or low impact class. The balls are simple to add but deliver variety to your classes and maximize movement.

            

ABDOMINALS

Having difficulty using the upper body as a unit when performing abdominal exercises? The Slomo balls encourage proper form and execution of abdominal exercises.

ABDOMINAL CURL

STARTING POSITION: Lie on your back with knees bent. Place the Slomo ball in your hands and place it behind your head.

MOVEMENT: Slowly raise the upper body off the floor and toward your knees. Pause and slowly return to the starting position. Perform 12 repetitions.

REVERSE CURL

    

STARTING POSITION: Lie on your back with knees bent. Place the Slomo ball in between your knees and position your hands underneath your buttocks.

MOVEMENT: Slowly lift the lower body up and towards your midsection. Pause and slowly return to starting position. Perform 12 repetitions.

ADDUCTOR (INNER THIGH)

STARTING POSITION: Lie on the floor with knees bent and the Slomo ball placed between your knees.

MOVEMENT: Press your knees together. Hold for the count of 4 and slowly release the pressure.

MODIFICATION: This exercise can also be performed with the feet off the floor and knees over the chest. Place your hands under your buttocks to support the lower back.

FLEXIBILITY EXERCISES FOR YOUR SLOMO BALL

Many flexibility exercises can be performed using your Slomo ball!

Here is just one example:

STRETCH

STARTING POSITION: Sitting on a mat with legs outstretched, , place the Slomo ball in your hands. Slowly bend  from the waist toward one leg. Hold this position at a point that you feel the stretch but is not uncomfortable for approximately 15 seconds. Relax and repeat on other side.

* Many exercises and stretches can be performed using the aid of a slomo ball.  As a visual aid, the slomo ball enables the user to focus their energy throughout the movement.
