The Pilates Deck features selected Pilates mat exercises, beginning with preparatory movements and progressing to more advanced exercises. Stretches to relieve muscular tension and stress are also included. Each card features an illustration of the exercise or stretch on the front, with a description of how to perform the movement on the reverse. Use the recommended sequence on the other side of the introductory card for workout ideas. As you use the cards and progress with the Pilates movements, you can assemble personalized routines that work best for you. When you exercise, wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move. You will need a mat that provides cushioning for your spine and pelvis. A thin yoga "sticky" mat is generally not thick enough for the more dynamic Pilates exercises. Us a thicker mat or place a towel on top of you mats for additional cushioning.
