Introduction
This text is intended to guide the health and fitness
professional in practicing forms of joint and muscle imbalance assessment.
The assessment proceeds from a technique of angular measurement call goniometry,
and the instrument used is called a goniometer. Information obtained from
goniometric assessment, combined with a complete health history and functional
movement evaluation, forms the basis for the health and fitness professional's
design of a comprehensive training, reconditioning, or rehabilitation program
for the subject.
