Why choose a good chair!  Average people working long hours sitting on a chair in an office usually suffer from aches in their waist and back because they are used to wrong positions.  With time, the muscles on their back turn loose, forcing the overloaded spine to bend or even experience other sufferings, which eventually trigger aches in the waist and back.

Medical studies indicate when average people spending 10-12 minutes sitting on an ordinary chair would feel fatigue in the muscle, a phenomenon that would make us opt for wrong positions or even leave the entire body on the chair.  When we feel fatigue in the muscle of the back, we would turn relaxed and maintaining us in a right sitting position would be hard.  As we are unable to hold our own weight, the spine comes in place as the last resource and problems appear and the muscle adjacent to the spine turns to be critical when it comes to maintaining right sitting position.

Why does Fit-Chair help to reduce pathological changes in the spine?  For those who spend long hours in the office, it is important to choose sound chairs for their waist and back.  In a gym, we do exercises for our key muscles, not for multifidus and transverse abdominus that are next to the spine and heavy load on the spine remains the same.  If we could just stimulate the muscular tissues and maintain correct sitting positions, it would be extraordinary to the spine.  The ball on Fit-Chair keeps our body and gravity in constant interaction, assuring that the muscles adjacent to the spine are properly stimulated to adjust our sitting position and help sharing the load, just to keep the spine from going deformed and pressing the intervertebral disk.  Besides, the interactive body weight and gravity strengthen the muscles in the back, the belly and the waist to further alleviate pathological changes in the spine.

** Note:  the instructions reference a footpad below the leg of the FitChair.  The Fitness Ball Chair does not have this footpad.  Adjust the ball inflation so that the person witting on the Fit-Chair has the sole against the floor and the hip and leg in 90 degree, or a little more, angle.
